Just about anything you can think of. Try Submitting your site to directories. Use Yahoo Answers to direct them to your blog or site. Try Putting your signature in your Posts. Comment on peoples blogs. Write an article on your website then social bookmark it. There are so many ways to market your site. Just take a look around.

I would recommend document sharing such as scribd because they tend to rank high for little or medium competition keywords.
Link baiting has got to be one of my favorite, and definitely one of the most effective. The problem however, is that it's much easier said than done.
