Faster than Apache from own experience. Also would like to mention I only want host with good reputation or background. Not some overselling host or 1 month old host. Thanks
Well Litespeed may not be faster than well tuned apache in reality, though there is a myth litespeed is better. You may try Hostgator, they are for more than 5 years.
Have you considered using a dedicated server? The reason you are likely having issues is because FFMPEG just does not play or scale well in a shared environment.
Ok everyone, just an update. I have found my hosting. I'll be sticking to it. Cheers Can close the thread now p/s- recommending to anyone who wants a FFMEG hosting PacificHost.com. The server is really good and fast. Just the response needs a few hours. I guess I was too used to be pampered by my previous hosting.
Most hosts that fit into your requirements for good support, service and longevity are not running FFMPEG in a shared environment. That's why I suggested a higher level of service
Do you have idea on the ammount of bandwith you will be using also do you have any preference for server location.
