Has anyone heard that the article directory ArticlesBase.com links turned nofollow? Please let us know if you have any solid information regarding this as it is very unfortunate...
Not sure how long (I thought it had been awhile tbh) but yes, it is nofollow. It is still worth it with regards it's ability to rise up the rankings but if you want link juice then GoArticles, Squidoo and of course EZA are the way forward
oh, that's quite pity thing. I've posted many articles on it. However, I do think there'll be more and more people enjoying my articles. Anyone share us some other article submit sites instead?
Although this is now nofollow it may still be worth using in an overall SEo stratergy, using only sites that allow follow links may look to good to be true to the 'bots', mixing a few nofollow links into your stratergy would give it a more 'realistic' look. Does anyone agree?
it will not do anything for link juice, however it may bring visitors to your site, as I have found out, people republish them on their blogs adding adsense to them and yuo do get visitors coming form their sites, I have notcied this in Cpanel - checking were they come from.
Why are you worry about articlebase no follow, there are lot of other dofollow articles directories on internet and each day developing new e.g. http://s.granitesandstone.com/ this is new but instant approval and do follow aslo.
They are nofollow from last year i guess, So not a new thing, but their articles rank pretty high if you build link for those specific pages.
This is pr0 directory though... From what I know such links would be of no real value. What do you think?
Well nofollow links will not give any link juice but you can still get real traffic from those articles, which is always good.
Whilst still great for some traffic it's a darn shame they're no longer following the links which is why a large percentage of the article writes utilized the resource in the first place.
I just noticed the nofollow tag this morning, actually. Quite ridiculous. I mean, EzineArticles.com is better IMO, and they are dofollow. I promptly deleted them from my list of articles I syndicate content to.
I thought this happened ages ago, oh well a nofollow backlink is still better then no backlink! You've just got to remember that article marketing doesn't just improve your ranking in the SERPS, but it also improves your websites traffic slightly, depending on the services you use, article marketing can be a great traffic generation method.
