I was restoring my pc and suddenly power supply goes off so when i re-start i get this msg,

I try repairing window xp but that is not allowing me to repair, even f8 key do not open advance setting where i can start pc in safe mode. before window processing screen i only get this black screen msg plug and play configuration error. press f1 or f2 for setup or f12 for boot.

how can i disable this plug and play configuration screen and starting using repairing win

you can try hooking putting a windows disk in and booting to the disk and repairing the OS. There is an option in the setup to repair windows. That will just replace all the system files but leave your applications and documents and such in tact.
If you have your windows xp disk then use that. If you don't have it, see if you can call microsoft, bi*t*h at them and say you want them to send you a disk so you can repair your system. you might have to buy a new one if you don't have one.
if you can't do that, I would take the drive out and take all the data out (connect it to a different computer via sata or usb) and then wipe it and re-install.

EDIT: to change boot order, push f12 and use the menus to change the boot order so the system boots the disk first and then save and exit. it will restart, then say "push any key to boot from disk..." and you do that.

well I am glad you got it fixed. Just so you know, using the windows disk will almost always work. Just so you don't have to pay someone to do it.

Did you ask them for suggestions as to how they managed to do it! If it indeed was a repair using windows cd or something else?

Just remember that pretty much any missing .dll can be found online, and any error you encounter has been found before. Better off spending the time researching on Google than asking in a webmaster forum ;)
