Success is what counts........whether hard work or luck or both caused it. often becomes a subjective assessment. Proof of the pudding is in the eating, who made it and how. are matters of secondary detail.
One must believe in luck. There are many stories, can't write them here but if you're lucky then God loves you a bit more than others
Luck is a series of events that would cost much more to explain scientifically and reproduce than the end result is worth.
Yes I do believe in it a little bit. If its with you then everything goes smoothly. But if its not then a little bit of problem occurs. - Mr.President -
So very true! This should be the attitude with which everybody should try to accomplish their work as I am certain that there can be no substitute for hard work! Regards, RightMan
There was an interesting study some years ago in Northern Europe. They decided to see if luck really existed. So what they did was take a group of a couple thousand people and divide them up into people who believed they were lucky, unlucky, or had no particular kind of luck. They took each person off into a room and told that person to flip a coin several hundred times, just to see what happened. Then they told the person to "try and get heads" when they flipped. And then they told the person to "try and get tails" when they flipped a third and final time. Once all the results were in, the people with no particular luck got pretty much even results. Statistically, they showed exactly what probability dictated. The lucky people had exactly the same results: basic probability. Exactly what you would expect. But the unlucky people, it turns out, really were unlucky: their statistical distributions were off the expected numbers by an average of over twenty percent. So apparently, good luck doesn't exist... but bad luck does. Of course, we Irish really do have good luck. We just weren't allowed into the study <-- It's green!
of course, luck matters. we are all lucky that we had access to education and internet. if we were born in some remote corner of Africa, where there is no schools or electricity, life would have been much different. we are lucky because physically capable of working... we are lucky that we aren't in places where wars are being fought... life is very easy for some and very difficult for others. if you don't call this luck, what will you call it?
“I'm a great believer in luck, and I find the harder I work, the more I have of it.†~ Thomas Jefferson
I think luck is really important , there are many deserving people out there but they aren't much successful , so luck also plays an important part , though its not the only part.
I totally unbelieve the luck but it plays a key role in everyones life...and my luck has favoured me to get placed in Cognizant Technology Services last week and I am yet to finish my Undergraduate studies...!!
