    You're more than welcome.

I am working on a step by step on this, and some other things. But I haven't the time to develop it further. I am glad it's helping folks though.

In regards to Romania, you might want to check gfy.

I know there are some Romanians there. They should be better able to tell you about the laws for that country and porn.

Actually, at end of 2009 and going into 2010. I honestly would recommend a pay site tube script if you are doing ANY kind of adult pay site.

I have posted up demo and screen shot on how mine is doing over the past 4 months and it is really kicking ass on less that 1000 UV a day. Right now demo'g new processor, and script. I am also working on mobi support as well.

Members have the option to download original format, watch the stream, or download an IPOD version. Members of my old pay sites have moved to this platform and love it.

I will post more as I have more working examples, and real numbers for the mobi once added.

No problem. I am glad the information is helpful for those looking at real money making opportunities and willing to work hard to get there.

Frankly, it depends on the type of site. How profane or clean. But the KEY is to be CONSISTENT!!!

    1. TGP Submits
    2. Forum and Tube Site Posts
    3. Image Host
    4. Signatures
    5. Link Bait Blogs and Sites
    6. Clips Stores
    7. Link Lists and Directory Submissions
    8. Link Building and Trades
    9. Pic of the Day
    10. Social Networks

Those are some off the top of my head. Again, depends on many factors. I use some of the same techniques in marketing celebrity pay sites as I do my fetish adult sites. But obviously, there are some things you can't so or need to do differently to sell "the tease" and subject matter.

    Good luck.

I would recommend you do TUBE pay sites now.

The script and CMS is a bit more expensive. However, it is the wave of the future. I have done some demo's with them and the results for conversions, and CTR on ads is much higher than a traditional pay site.

There are a few things I can think of, over an beyond the initial site. But a tube pay site is a good start. However, right now only two programmers off any kind. So they are still $XXX-XXXX unless you plan to go custom.

    Happy to help.

For the prelude to pay site(s) or membership sites, especially in adult, people may want to start out with a CLIP STORE. Here are a couple of guides, and pointers, you need.

Adult Business 301: Clip Stores a Guide to Success

Newbies: Guaranteed Return on Investment (Tutorial)

A clip store really is one of the best ways for a newbie to start out. Low risk, and you start getting ROI almost immediately if you follow the steps.

some good points about membership websites here but the advice on payment processors are probably only for the adult niche since PayPal is the best choice for most businesses except mlm and maybe adult...

This thread was originally posted in the adult section, and moved into General Business. Hence your confusion.

...and no. Your membership CMS system would probably not be a good fit. A tube pay site hybrid CMS is the future, and should be what people are building their pay sites on now a days. The sales, CTR, retention, and conversions are all better. As shown in this example.

What kinds of technical information should I know before doing a membership website? I've done a fair share of xhtml sites, some php coding, a few Wordpress sites. I want to try and build the website, but scared to fail. What technologies should I know before considering a membership website? You mentioned CMS. Can I do it with Joomla, or maybe even Drupal? Your first post made me really want to try this out.

edit: I don't want to have someone else do it, as I don't have the extra money needed to give someone to work.

That is simply too loaded of a question to be honest.

I have developed my own CMS(s) over the years. One that runs my celebrity (picture) sites. That has gone a number of revisions and still gets modified once a year. I have one that shuffles, and another for daily updates. It is done in PHP.

I also have tube pay sites, as well as traffic tubes. There are a few versions of that baseline script. Also PHP. I have one that allows 30 second previews, then they have to sign up. I have another I use for celebrity clips, where they get the first day free, and after that archived. Then a traffic tube version.

I used to use SiteDepth, which is a more traditional pay site CMS script. I am not sure what that is encoded in now a days, but it is a dying model. Tube pay sites are where you need to be in 2010.

    Here is an example.
