ICICI Bank and HDFC Bank Fixed Deposit Instant Credit Card

Hi! Can anyone using ICICI Bank or HDFC Bank Fixed Deposit Instant Credit Card clear my following queries?

1. How long does ICICI Bank takes to deliver it's Fixed Deposit Instant Credit Card? I want to have a savings account with them but will I get the ICICI Bank Fixed Deposit Instant Credit Card on the spot with Welcome Kit?

2. Which Credit Card is issued with HDFC Bank Fixed Deposit Instant Credit Card? Gold Credit Card or Silver Credit Card?

3. Both the Bank's Fixed Deposit Instant Credit Card comes with Visa Logo or Mastercard Logo in it?

2. Gold or Siver depends on the amount your deposit for FD.

3. You have a choice actually for that.

 

If you want your name on the Card then you will have to wait for 7 days otherwise its Instant.

For CC issued against your Fixed deposits, one does not need to provide any income proof as your FD itself helps you surpass their eligibility criteria!

I went to HDFC Bank today and when asked them about the details he said that credit cards are issued with two types of account:
1. SavingsMax account with a minimum of Rs. 25,000 deposit and average quarterly balance has to maintained same hence after.
2. Regular Savings account with a linked fixed deposit of Rs. 50,000, where the account becomes zero balance and eligible for a credit card.
But enquiring about the credit card delivery he said after the account's being opened and the documents are verified in 2-3 days, I will receive a call from them about qualifying the eligibility and then I'll have to fill another form for credit card and will receive the credit card by courier in 15 days.
Pretty long procedure in HDFC Bank. Is this the same procedure maintained everywhere in the country? [I'm from Siliguri, West Bengal] and from Red_Virus's reply it seems that ICICI Bank is much faster in processing of credit card. Does ICICI Bank's format followed only in his place or all over the country?

 

Anybody knows regarding SBI credit card against fixed deposit? Will paypal accept it?

How much do I need to deposit for HDFC and ICICI?

 

In State Bank you'll need to have a minimum fixed deposit of Rs.10,000.
ICICI Bank allows you to have a Fixed Deposit Instant Credit Card against a fixed deposit of minimum Rs.20,000 but the HDFC Bank has various options;
1. SavingsMax Account where the AQB is Rs. 25,000 but becomes zero balance if you link a FD of Rs. 1,00,000.
2. Regular Savings Account linked with a FD of 50,000 and account becomes zero balance.
3. Maintaining a good account standing.

I have 1.5 lakhs fixed deposit in HDFC bank. Is I am eligible for instant credit card, if any ?

 

Ofcourse you're eligible. You can visit your branch and apply for the silver credit card.

 

And if you have saving max account you're even eligible for money maximizer which pays in multiples of 5 in a year.

 

Can I get a state Bank of India Credit Card with just INR 10000 fixed deposit? What are the other criteria? Is it available in any Branches of SBI?

 

If you happen to get the card thru ICICI plz. make sure you opt for payment of the interest on deposit to your savings account (quarterly, half-yearly or on yearly basis). Else if you prefer to use the card life long you wont be able to enjoy the interest money (in terms of cash) until you cancel the card.

Getting a card is easy.. They will send their representative to your home itself to pick the check.. However to cancel or modify the deposit you need to personally visit the Branch. In my case I never realized this fact and my deposit was opened in a Branch which is way far from my home (although I have multiple branches nearby my area). So insist to open the deposit in a Branch near your home (if you happen to give the deposit money at your home).

1. what is the expiry date comes on the card? is it equal to months of FD i fix with bank?
2. can i increase my FD amount after some months? will this increase my limit to as its 85% of FD.

Guys kindly help me. I want to have a SBI credit card. Do they need any other Documents apart from the Deposit??

 

I am also looking eagerly about any members comments on SBI fixed deposit Credit Cards. If the largest Private sector Indian Bank like ICICI Bank can offer Credit Card at low deposit credit cards and with so much possibility and flexibility.

Can anyone pls tell me the Limit for these Credit Cards? Also can we use these credit cards for paying money in EMI of 3/6 months? - Actually I am interested in shopping under EMI from eBay India etc.

BTW I will be going for the 25K FD Option
