I just whant to tks this great forum and all the great users. I "build" my website 4 months ago. I change many things, after reading great post on this amazing forum. Today a have my first #1 list for my niche. "plantas carnivoras" (Carnivorous plants in portugues) on yahoo.com.br I also have #2/#3 on google.com google.com.br google.pt and yahoo.com I think the site can be #1 in short time, so tks again be cool.. and remember, work pays out.
Congradulations, If you dont mind me asking, How much traffic do you receive on average from the search engines for that phrase? I never knew so many people where searchin that term...probably because I only type in english... Thats cool that you learned so much from this forum. should be many traffic, there are a lot of of searches in Portuguese and Catalan ,but little in english . Congradulations
I wish I could show up #1 for anything actually I've put in a lot of work and our shop shows up #1 on very specific items but if you are searching a brand or something broad we are on like the 7th page. I think I just gotta keep on plugging away at it.
Congrats but don't rejoice because I don't think your keywords is that much popular and the competition for that keywords is not that competitive. This is the time you have to expand your niche and add lot of contents and backlinks to your site. If you're on top there is only one way you can go. This is to go down. Keep up the good work and keep on working
Hello, I have 1st position on uk.search.yahoo.com (results from UK) keyword promotional items (all results 7th place) on promotional products keyword i have 6th place(results from UK) and 17th place in all results and I have noticed only trace traffic from this search engine (just 2-3 visits daily) so I am not so happy to be at the first place, cause it seems that in the UK google is the king... kate
your are right about that, in portugal google are also the king. In Brazil, yahoo are mutch more used. the issue are that my site have only 120days. I really think that my #1 are from the change that i make on the site, after read many POST in this forum. The #2/#3 on google are really good, because the #1 belong to a page of the "university of sao paulo" that have a PR8 on the portal (the same as yahoo.com.br). It's amazing what you can learn in this forum, and if someone make a webpage, upload the content to the server, update with great content, have a fabulous website ... but don't learn some tecnique from the forum (or other like this one) they NEVER get to the #1 page, ever. And that was not the case some years ago. tks again
