I have a question for Muslims. Did Muhammed go and do Kamikaze attacks? or kill people? Because Jesus did not, actually he preached what he thought, and did not harm anyone in the process. He told people once clearly what he wanted them to do and then left them decide for themselves. The Bible was written by men who where inspired by God. Jesus did not murder anyone and did not hate any civilization. He spoke to the Samaritian (they did not go well with the Jews), did not kill the women who betrayed her husband even though breaking that law resulted in capital punishment. To be a Catholic, you need to believe the mystery of God is one and three persons (holt thrinity) Father, Son, Holy Spirit, and that he rose from the dead. I am waiting for respons about Muhammed's life.
I do hope you are not trying to rewrite history? The real question is, why would mohammed rape, pilage, murder and conquer by the sword in order to spread islam? There was nothing peaceful about this guy in the least bit. If one were to compare the life of Jesus and the life of mohammed and note a mere 600 years exited between their lives, the first thing that comes to mind is: "God sent his Son as the ultimate sacrifice to mankind. Jesus never lifted a hand in anger towards anyone. He healed the sick, performed miracles, preached a message of love and ultimately died on the cross to save our sins. What upset God so much in 600 short years to have sent someone like mohammed, whose message and means were entirely different?" mohammed was incapable of performing miracles, so I can see why someone might argue they are not important. Personally, I don't care if "pagans" worshipped other gods or not, nor do I care today as to what religion or god someone aspires to worship. If it doesn't threaten my family, my country, myself or my way of life, believe in whatever you chose, or believe in nothing at all. Live and let live works fine for me. It's when we cross those boundaries and it becomes "live and let die" that I take issue with.
