    hello,
i had an old blog with some blog posts about a subject. i want to transfer these posts to a new domain that is related to this subject to have some seo advantage. i plan to 301 redirect these posts to the new domain.
will this help me in ranking better than before ??

and if it will help i want to ask about the new domain.
lets suppose that the main keywords "cars repair" which of the following domains is better for seo(notice that it is a very common subject and most of the domains already taken so the folllowing domains only are available)
reviewscarsrepair.com (looks bad but cars repair reviews has good search volum but it is taken so i changed the order)
    a1carsrepair.com (or any similar)
    carsrepair-reviews.com

People don't type hyphens - but Googlebot etc find them easier to deal with - No hyphens is old school - like _ is, where as - is better, it strikes me this applies across the board - so all those saying different and all those bot type domains telling you different are in Cloud Cuckoo and |Noddy Lan are spouting off Bull and feeding y'All sewfiff inaccurate info based on old out of date info designed to deceive!

    IMHO!

i don't know but the first page on any search contain many domains with keywords inside.

another thing, i am trying to use new domain as the last trial because i have a web site with unique fresh contents, very accurate keyword analysis, active link building also good pr (3-4 in three months) but it still very hard to rank even for medium competition keywords. This blog is on sub domain and the domain itself is completely unrelated to the niche so i want to try new related domain before i quit . i am a beginner so if i am wrong please tell me.

i listened that domains with many keywords and hyphens may trigger the google spam filter and get sandboxed for longer period

    If you say so dude

But if what you are referring to is URL Spam it means repeating the phrase

    An example for you

Pick any London Borough (These include Knightsbridge, Kensington, Fulham, Bexley, Brent, Lewisham, Southwark, Newham, Lewisham and many more)

Pick anyone you like and pair it with the acronym SEO and you will find my 2 month old site in position one. Has been there since 2 weeks after registration and take a look at the URL structure and then read this >

    http://www.google.com/support/webmasters/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=76329

Then put a Trekky Dr Spock head on tell me if Googlebot finds it easier to have hyphenated words in the URL structure after the .com/ (other tld) does not logic tell us that the same appplies in a domain name to.

Here are some funny examples of how not using a hyphen can go very wrong >

    therapistfinder.net

    penisland.net

    powergenitalia.com

    expertsexchange.com

    mp3shits.com

    thepenismightier.com

    butthatsnotall.co.nz

    askandy.com

    helpmypenisstuck.com

    dickslumber.com

    and to round it off

    vetskill.com
