    Yes, they offered me to install the plugin for me. It also seems it's pretty easy to modify the old plugin to get it working on the new version.

    I see so far there are 3 popular directory scripts. phpld, esyndicat and indexu.

    I wish my script will be there in next two years. :D

    eSyndicat is fairly decent script and we are using it on over 10 directories (have got unlimited edition - worth every cent spent on it!)

    We have tried phpLD as well not much to distinguish between the two now!

    not trying to relate anything :p but perhaps my inner voice woke up again reading the 2 posts!

    ive been thinking about launching my own directory script for sometime now, talking to other people/ dir owners on msn/ yahoo.... but still not sure ... just dont have the time for it right now!

    reading the two posts,... i picked on a sentence from his post, and a sentence from your post, "if" i launch a software, hope it becomes as famous as phpLD and eSyndicat!

    I too like eSyndicat its a software worth every cent!

    AND i too believe in NOT going the smarty way .... doesnt appeal to me much,... a template system like wordpress/ joomla is a better option any day.... thats where im looking forward too, ... again "IF" i launch a script :cool:

    I am interested to know if it is possible to migrate a site from phpLB to eSyndicat and convert the theme for that as well? Because I have a bidding directory that I want to switch back to a normal links directory. If eSyndicat team can do that for me at a reasonable price, I will go get it.

    Sure we can do that ;) We offer free migration from other scripts so we can move your data. Template update - hmm, we need to check your template at first and then we can quote.

    I also bought this version recently and I have it installed on one of my sites now. Installation is complete, but unfortunately, I'm getting an IISPassword / HTTP Error 500 error. I guess there is something wrong with the Configuration file.

    One important issue to me is SEF urls, which I need to enable on an IIS server. And of course being able to use paypal would be great.

    AFAIK when you use ISAPIRewrite 3 you can use apache .htaccess files for your server and it will work correctly :) That's the reason why we recommend to use 3 version.

    Just removed the .htaccess right now to make the software working and remove an error:cool:.
    It's still not working properly, it seems to be the css file doesn't work and while the admin login page is accessible right now, I can not login.

    Make sure you have your httpd.conf setup properly.

    You should have this in there

    <Directory />
    Options All
    AllowOverride All
    </Directory>

    Code (markup):

    I don't have any httpd.conf file - Not at all:(.
    Neither in the root folder nor in the /admin folder.

    Shouldn't that be present by default?!

    Don't bother, it is the apache configuration file. You won't find it in an IIS server.

    Even though I do like the colors on your homepage, the all skyblue cats and subcats kinda hurt my eye. Goodluck with the directory :)
