SEO books?

I am going to be trying to Optimize my site by myself and I was wondering if there are any books (or ebooks) that are good? The only one I really have heard anything about is the SEo book by Aaron Wall.

Also, there is a SEO video course at Lynda.com, has anyone checked that out at all?

Aaron Wall is my favorite "no BS" SEO author. Kind of pricey but a membership at his site is definitely worth it.

seobook is everything you need, the training modules aaron offers are top notch and the tools he has available are great.

the membership cost is justified fairly quickly with knowledge learned

The person may already be a member of DigitalPoint me thinks!

Myself I am about to write a SEO Book, but personally feel SEOBook is somewhat expensive and you really would need to benefit greatly financially if you we're to pay the recurring price!

You really don't need to buy SEO books or training to learn how to do good SEO. Just read up in the forums, or blogs. Learn and read as much as possible. Use the free resources out there as much as you can. If you prefer SEO books, Aaron Wall is a great SEO author.

SEO book seems pretty impressive but I don't know if I can fork over $300 a month to join. I am learning a lot from reading over posts in this forum and I have been kind of keeping some notes from things I learn.

I think your best bet is to try and soak up all the information you can get both here and on the Warrior Forum. Most hard cover books that cover SEO are outdated as soon as they are published, ebooks are better but I personally prefer the interaction that occurs on forums.
