Logo Dimensions: Not set yet but I'm thinking something around 250 x 250 Colors: Should match the color scheme of the new site design prototype: http://tvsurl.com/tvsurl/images/puzzleboxworld.jpg Logo Placement: This doesn't necessarily affect you but it may help when designing the logo. The logo will be placed on the left side of the header. The "Puzzle Boxes and site slogan" you see in the prototype will shift to the right and be next to the logo. Possible Ideas: What I am thinking of is a child or a teenager with a puzzle box (or boxes)...something a bit family oriented and something that clearly conveys what the site is about - PUZZLE BOXES. Other ideas I had was have a rainbow of puzzle boxes above a child's head as the child is reaching for them. I am not tied to these ideas. I am open to ANYTHING. The main thing the logo has to convey is that my site is about Puzzle Boxes and about "family fun." Deliverables: I will need the original PSD file and a PNG file. Payment: I will pay the designer with the winning design immediately via PayPal (check my iTrader). Thanks everyone! Travis
Not at all. In fact, I would prefer no text at all. Just looking for something that will convey what the site is about
Thanks for the design. I appreciate your submission. However, let me be completely frank here so I don't waste your time or other designers' time... I'm not sure this whole "kid thing" is going to work. In my mind it looked good but after actually seeing it, I'm not sure this is the right direction to go. You gave me exactly what I asked for but I think I'm asking for the wrong thing To that end, I think I want to move away completely from the whole idea of having an image of a kid, child, etc. Instead, maybe just a Puzzle Box half opened or closed would be best (and probably half opened to show that it's a puzzle and not just a box). Here is a link to a puzzle box that is partially opened. I'm not necessarily saying take this and make a logo out of it, but I can envision a box like this as a logo: And one final note...please make sure that the logo you design blends in with the prototype of the site. Thanks! Travis
This entry so far is the closest to what I'm looking for but we're still not there. And I apologize for changing directions all the time but I'm learning what I really want as well as these entries are coming in so bear with me The idea of showing a half-opened box is getting closer but this box looks a little too animated or "cartoonish" and the colors just don't fit either. And I know I said before I didn't want text as part of the logo, but I do. I'm thinking of having PuzzleBoxWorld.com arching over the top of the puzzle box - like a rainbow over the puzzle box if that makes any sense. Travis
@tvanslooten I don't mean to intervene but it seems like these kids you wanted conveys the message pretty well... so maybe you weren't mistaken that much after all Hopefully I'll be able to post my logo by tonight... though I am kind of busy so I'm not sure about it Have a nice day, SK.
I just wanted to update this thread for the few designers that submitted entries. I appreciate all the entries made but I didn't see anything I liked in the 48 hours. I may run a new contest again in a few days but for now this contest is officially closed without a winner. Travis
@tvanslooten Well... i just want to tell you that this is not the way to run a contest, there has to be a winner ... tricking people like that is just wrong.. but i'll throw my entry anyways...
lol... no winner here ... he probably just stole something and closed it without announcing the winner...
entries to this contest are reasonable all designers please read this thread, MOD approve of negative iTrader for contest holder who abandons their contest http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1659862
