Hi, it's my second day buying domain names. I just bought: - nx1google.com - googlenx1.com My opinion: People will eventually type in "NX1" instead of "Nexus one". Since it's a google site: lots of them will associate it with google. Thank you to all the community volonteers for appraisal: it's very appreciated from new people like me! Thanx again!
After going on Sedo.com and saying me that I could have problems with Google... I went back on 1&1 and canceled my 2 domain names! Wouldn't want to have problems with google!! I just learned a good thing today: don't try registring brand domain!
LOLL!! Thanx! Since it's only my second day buying domain names: had to screw up atleast one time! But the good part is: 1&1 will refund me since I bought it today = did'nt loose a penny! lol
Firstly, this kind of speculative purchase should only be done with sufficient knowledge and experience in the niche you are predicting in. Secondly, Google will sue you for trademark infringement for any name containing its name in it, if they want to. Worth negative how much you spend for legal costs. If you spend 0, its worth 0. Also 1and1 will make your life very hard if you ever want to switch a domain you registered with them to another registrar.
yikes!! I undestand that! That's why I called 1&1 yesterday to delete my domain names: and they did! Since i bought it the same day: they will credit back my two purchase. I was lucky this time and learned alot! ps: nx1mobile.com is it ok for the trademark?
Now I'm worried. I bought some domains with Twilight in them such as: shop4twilight.com twiligthsuffandnews.com luvtwilight.com and a couple of others. I thought this would be ok as there are a lot of domains like this and some for sale on ebay! What do you think?
i don't know since there sites like googlemobile.com, iphonemobile.com, iphonexpert.com, etc... It probably depends what you do with your site (like porn, poker, etc.) that could ruine branding image. Really not shure on this one. maybe nx1google & googlenx1 was really something too much close of the brand. Anyway, just hope not seeing them on auction with bid of 50k!!!
I'll just wait and see for a while. Can't imagine they are a problem as heaps out there. Good to see a new person like me buying domains. Still getting the hang of it. I have a LLLNN domain I want to register but .com and .net are gone. What do you think is better .org, .tv or .biz?
