I sold a copy of my script to a person from my site. A week later he raised a dispute for refund. The guy is really trying to rip me off. I installed the script on his site, he checked it and he now saying that he never received the product.

I send several message to the guy from paypal resolution center but he keep saying that he never got my script.

please help. How can i resolve this?

Its a down-loadable script. people can download the script after they pay with paypal. I cant just let him take his money back like that after all he has my script installed on his site :(

I read that Paypal doesnt really care about the disputes if the product is digital/virtual item. Is that true?

There are very rare chances that you can keep that amount with you, that guy knows this thing very well about paypal method and that how he cheated to you.

The chances of your winning the dispute are remote but even then, you may forward to Paypal, the copy of the conversation you might have had with this client while finalising the deal or while you helped him with the installation on his site.
You may also forward to Paypal his site address with the proof, if possible about your script working on his site.

    Regards,

don't worry most probably nothing will happen. because for digital/virtual goods, the dispute resolution is mostly in favour of the seller.

I gather that he stated so in an email? I'd present that including email headers as evidence stating that he did get the script. That and the record of you installing said script.

Yea you can use the money left in your account, I believe they take the funds that he sent you and hold them.

You have good odds of winning this dispute since the goods were online/digital. Just make sure to tell paypal that they were digital goods and you provided the goods/services right after payment. You are almost guaranteed to win.

Shouldnt take more than a day, usually sooner.

Paypal doesnt or isnt supposed to deal with online digital goods, so alot of the time they will favor the seller.

You just leave your conversation transcript to paypal (upload as a file etc), then tell the paypal it's online services. Then wait the buyer to escalate.

BTW, did you put any subject on the transaction like installation service etc? If yes, then your chance must be very high to win.

Alright, that guy escalated to claim, now paypal is asking me to Resolve Case by choosing below options
    1) Issue the buyer a full refund.
    2) I can provide tracking information.
    3) The buyer has already been refunded and I can provide proof of the previous refund

??? None of the above options work for me :(

paypal also said that if they do not receive a response from me by the deadline, the claim will be decided in the buyer's favor.

please help me, how i should proceed?

What I did in this situation (I am not saying this is 100% the correct way of going about this, but it worked for me and I won)

I did option 2) I can provide tracking information.

and I told them that it was via email, then I took a picture of the email and uploaded it to paypal.

    I won the dispute.

    Thanks,
    Sean
