yes the caffeine update has been rolled. Site load time speed is confirmed to be a ranking factor. Its no surprise though - Google is looking for real time results - faster indexing and quicker search results - its all about speed so its no surprise that they want webmasters to work on site loadtime speed also.

I would recommend you gzip your pages
optimise your images
clean up your css and try your best to narrow down server requests

Google now provide personalized searches even if you are not logged into your gmail account. There are some great articles about personalized search results.

Do a goole search and have a little read - there have been many changes.;

 

they always change algo, do not worry if you have a good website + good quality links

 

yes but when you are competing for very competitive keywords then close attention needs to be paid to small factors also - this will ensure you become the competition.

site load time speed should not be put to the side - google now even have a lab section in the webmasters account which shows you what can be done to improve your load time speed.

 

yes it is important but not so much as quality and quantity of links ) site soud be fast, at least it should open ))
i would reccomend to use quality hosting first of all, clean IPs

yes, something came new in Google algorithm that we need to analysis and try to implement in search engine optimization strategy.
