I am on google page 1 in united states for following keywords cheap web design 9th position Cheap web designer 3rd position Cheap web developer 3rd position Cheap web development 12th position Still there is no traffic from google. Are my keywords wrong? I need atleast 50-100 visitors from search engines daily. Other keywords I am optimizing are affordable web design, best web design. But before any more further I need to first make sure so much hardwork I am doing is worth something. Can someone help in these? Thanks

You must check your keywords searches per day. It does not mean that you are in top page you can generate high traffic, it was still depend on how your keyword is powerful.
Check the volume of clicks for the keywords. You can expect good results only if you are in top 3. Then again #1 spot takes most chunk of it.
First of all, these are very good positions. All within number 3. But you are saying you arent getting enough traffic. Check how many searches these keywords get using some Google Trends tool. May be the number of searches made using these keywords is comparitively less.

Your positions are good but it would be better when you find some keywords where more people are looking for and don't make them to general but try to find keywords fitting in your niche.
May be the people are not searching for that particular keyword. Try to focus on some popular and most conversion keywords.

In my point of view instead of using 'cheap' try some other keywords because there is always high competition within web design websites.
Can you give 1 example please to understand what you mean by high conversation keywords. Because when I selected cheap web design I checked in google adwords and it showed searches per month of 15000 clicks

Don't forget to use exact match when using the adwords tool. "Cheap wed design" shows 18,000 for broad match but is only shows 8,100 for exact match. Also, the numbers quoted by the tool are often inflated. The traffic you could get can be anywhere from 50%-75% on the number quoted.
You must choose a keyword that is highly search per day wherein that keyword is also related to your niche. You can use Google Adwords in that case.
