I am actually thinking of buiyn an netbook with 1 gig ram and i have planned to use 7 on it ..i hope it works decent and from what i heard it will work fine.
It basically boils down to whether you use 32-bit or 64-bit. 32-bit you can get away with 1GB just fine for light work. 64-bit you'll need more than 1GB to run smoothly.
Wasting your time here when you can get a new RAM stick for the same price as a chicken.. that is amusing
My friend has only slightly more than 1 GB ram and Windows 7 worked fine on it. But he is still using Vista for his main work.
You're using a 32-bit version of Windows 7. You need to use the 64-bit version to access the ALL of your 4 GB RAM.
If you find that you're missing 1GB of RAM from your 4GB, just install a 64bit instead of a 32bit. Same issue with Vista.
I used to install win7 on my 1 Gb comp and its run fine. but I have to go back to XP because of I cant find some drivers. ^^
I have 4gb on Win 7 Ultimate 64bit and still think I could use more. Dont skimp on memory man. You'll probably need it in the long run
1gb is the system requirement for windows 7 so it'll probably work but run faster??? it will also depend on your graphics acceleration.
