Do women have souls?

    You should probably read this.

    http://jaar.oxfordjournals.org/cgi/pdf_extract/XLIII/1/39

I think it's half right because I personally think there is no afterlife for anyone. After we die... well we die.

So what do you Muslims think the afterlife for an Islamic women is? If there is none than the woman who
don't believe it have nothing to lose.

I took the time to follow that link you had, interested in reading about that claim, I stopped reading on the first line where it says:

"According to orthodox Islam, women do not have souls"

it told me right away, that those two writers, have no clue about Islam, and even did not bother to read the source of teachings in Islam, for all Muslims, be they Sunni, or Shi'i, or else.

They are more like talking about bible, not Qur'an or Islam, because if they did, they would have noticed that it says in bible:

    while in Qur'an it says:

    in bible it says:

    while in Qur'an it says:

    in bible it says:

    while in Qur'an it says:
    in bible it says:

    in Qur'an:

and most important in Qur'an, that refutes this claim RIGHT AWAY, is this verse:

    and this one too:

    more..?

    here:

even more.. if you or the writes took the time to know Islam before writing about it ;)

I hope they will stop confusing bible with Qur'an, or Christianity/Judaism with Islam, as they are not the same, let me know if you have questions :D

Sugar Momma! Divorced twice already in your early twenties? I'm thinking you need to take your time and be a bit more choosy.

GM, you are never going to get a straight answer out of the Muslims on this forum. Their response to Muslims firebombing churches in Malaysia is, "Islam forbids it". Their response to attempts on the lives of artists or writers who put out things they disagree with is, "Islam forbids it" .

It doesn't matter whether we are talking about the clear cut homosexual undertones of the Prophet Mohammad, gay Muslim Men, or the unequal and abusive way in which women are treated, you will have some "Muslim expert" here quote you Quran or Hadith denying what is obvious to anyone who sees it. It seems many Muslims take faith a step beyond "belief in something for which there is no proof". For them faith means "blatant denial of many things for which there are mountains of proof". This is also true of many Christians, but usually regarding more spiritual things such as the origin of life, but not usually about barbarism, murder, abuse of women, and terrorism.

Its a shame the whole article couldn't be read, but I thought this line was particularly telling:
Anyone who has seen Muslim women covered from head to toe in black cloth(one assumes there is a woman under there, I suppose it could be a small man:D) walking 20 paces behind their Husband while in public realizes the truth of that statement.

The idea is not in getting an answer from a "Muslim expert" about some issue that might not be so clear for non-Muslims, it does not even need an expert to answer such questions,

the idea is what kind of answer you were expecting? or were you expecting an answer at all?

I personally think that if the answer did not get along with some people's bigotry, like obamnation, or GM, or alexi, or similar bigots and haters, then it is refused, and they keep looking for another answer, or answer the questions they ask by themselves,

    the question was:

the answer was given clearly from the source of teachings for all Muslims, both will get the same reward in the afterlife, according to what each had done in his/her life.

which means, there is no difference as the verses clearly and straightly say, what is not straight, is not the answer, but what you have in yourself that made you expect an answer that will justify your bigotry or hate.

from participating in many threads like this, it's usually like that:

1- a bigot or hater, comes, with a piece of news or an article by non-Muslims, that speaks about Islam,

acting like a person who asks a baker how to make closet, and asking a carpenter how to make a cake,

2- he posts an answer then asks a question.

3- Muslims are confused, why this person answers then ask? if you believe so much in the text you posted, and you truly believe that it has the answer, then why did you ask? it can be one of these:

a- he doubts that what he read was true.

b- he wants to spite, by making up lies.

c- he thinks Islam has bad teachings and Muslims are not aware of them or of their own religion teachings in the same sense as Christians or Jews are not aware of the hateful verses against women in bible, and expecting that once they see this, they would want to abandon Islam, and thus, he would achieve his goal.

d- he thinks that Muslims did not see his avatar, and wanted to start a thread that is addressing Muslims so they for some reason in his mind - notice his avatar that portray Mohammad pbuh as a terrorist.

e- maybe something else, mind then if you said what is it?

4- for a Muslim, he answers, and shows him the proof.

5- the person then asks, then why do I see some Muslims do so and so?? in a try to keep on the argument that he just lost.

well, thanks for putting Muslims in this high place, where you expect ALL of them not to do anything bad, but the truth, there are some Muslims who will do bad things, in any nation, religion, belief, or non-belief even, there is the good and bad, but the question here is about the belief itself, did you find something bad or not truthful in its teachings, if so, go ahead, post it, and say why you think it is not true, or not good :)

it is more like somebody who sees a Christian murdering somebody, then runs to say, Christianity encourage murdering, and if another Christian told him NO, he would say, then why that Christian murdered that somebody?

really? is this how you think?

6- the question here should be, you see so many Christian men, get drunk, beat their wives, even kill them, in a MUCH larger percentage than in any Muslim community, why do you not blame it to Christianity? knowing that there are actually some Christian holy texts that are hateful against women?

and when some Muslim bad treat his wife, you blame it to Islam? knowing Islam does not hold females responsible for a ridiculous "original sin" and do NOT consider them inferior as been shown to you in the verses I posted? and stresses so much on treating them well?

Why not when a Christian murder kill somebody, you did not run to forums and say, this is Christianity?

I hope obamanation, GM or any of these bigots will have a straight answer :)

did you get a straight answer from a Muslim? or not yet?

keep in mind that it doesn't matter how you judge yourself, because that's really bigoted, but how you will be judged, that is what counts. The same is valid for your religion.

One doesn't have to be a Muslim/expert to be able to see through, common sense will suffice. In fact a neutral mind sees more, get it? - Sure not!

then you should know that we're saved by grace and not by religion. Things become religious when one doesn't have faith, a mixture evolving in tradition and blind claim of superiority and power,or in simply denying our roots, both is dangerous and leads to mass suicide and genocide.

In this regard it is quite obvious who's claiming what.

The point of my post, which you apparently missed, is that words of the Quran are often(almost always) dug up and applied in contradiction to the real world facts. Islam condemns church bombings, yet Muslims do it(REGULARLY). Islam supposedly forbids terrorist activities(killing of women and children) yet Muslims regularly do it. Islam states women are equals, yet they are never treated that way. The contradictions are so bad, at times, your contradictions contradict other contradictions. Basically, the words of Islam will be twisted to mean whatever you want them to mean.

Well Imad, I'll grant you the posting of such a thread with this type of Icon in your avatar does follow an example of thread posting on this forum we have seen time and time again. I modified your quote above to help you figure out where that example comes from. Read it carefully, and see if you can figure it out.

Obamanation; I'm not twice divorced - I'm not sure how it works in the US; do you have common law marriage? Or De facto?

Where I come from when a couple cohabits for 18 months (or two years, depending on the state) a partner upon separation can attempt to get their hands on a portion of their ex De facto's property, given they have a reason.

Both relationships were short, but unfortunately the law here is screwed up.

When I do legally marry my now common law husband I would do so with the agreement of him receiving half of what is mine should we ever choose to part ways, along with ongoing maintenance should he require, or even simply desire it.

My point was only that it goes both ways :p Also, I'm no "sugar momma", I just like half of all I earn to go to the person supporting me. Plenty of (good) males have this same attitude.

Depends on the state. I think there is one state where one week of consensual sex/cohabitation can get you half, though in some states (Florida I think), common law marriages never happen. I think the median number in the states is 7 years.

Men trying to attach to a woman's earnings/possessions in the states is much less common than the reverse, though that is changing. For it to have happened twice to you already at such a young age is still.... well... stunning.

I agree with you Imad. I just think religion itself is ridiculous. You will actually see me bash the bible just as much. As for being a bigot I did defend Muslim people a few times on this forum. I have nothing against the people, just the belief which can lead people to make horrible decisions.

Edit: And also possibly a lack of education.

That's the problem with most who bad-mouth Islam here, they think they know it because it shares with Christianity, Judaism, the word religion, and since they are familiar with Christianity and Judaism and what crimes they did, and still doing to humanity, they immediately without even bothering to know anything about Islam - assume that Islam is the same,

to be a Muslim is not enough to be saved, I hope you know this, unlike in Christianity, where it is enough to believe the non-sense of Jesus is a God or son of God, to be saved,

and Muslims do not consider themselves chosen, or above all the rest of the world, by being members of some race,

while in Christianity, all non-Christian are considered anti-Christ who booked already a ticket to hell no matter what good or bad they do, and who should be killed, and while in Judaism all non-Jews are animals on the shape of human beings that God created only to serve the Jews, and whom it is OK to kill, steal, lie on, for Muslims it is not enough to be a member of a certain religion, or certain race to be saved,

and for Muslims, non-Muslims did not book a ticket to hell, it will depend on what they do, if they do good, it won't be wasted, denying something when you know, is not a good thing to do:

I got your point and replied it, your argument can be summarized in: "all Muslims are bad, because they are following Islam", which for some reason else than knowing Islam - you consider "bad" and when you are asked to show your reasons, you say I see Muslims do so and so, for some reason you do not see the crimes and violence done by others, take rape alone in US, which I do blame it to Christianity for not being a moral guide, but more like a system to legalize sin since it is enough to believe in the son of God fairy tail to be saved, no matter what dirt you have done in your life.

For you anything bad Muslims do, is blamed to their religion, even if what they did is against their religion as been shown to you, and anything good they did or do, is not even noticed.

And you keep it in that circle, preventing yourself from seeing anything else, for you anything else that does not go along with that you have of hate towards Islam and Muslims, is fake, lies, unreal ..etc

anything bad done by anybody to Muslims, is good for you, and have different names always than its real name.

to get past this point, you said:

    regular means:

where is the plan? where are the regular times or intervals, or it became regular from hearing the recent news from Malaysia? how about the 1400 years where Eastern Churches been safe because of Islam teachings? when Churches of West did not even recognize them?

Islam does not condemn it only, Islam prohibits such actions, as been shown to you in that message by Mohammad pbuh, and when a Muslims try to remind others Muslims who might been responsible for such actions, that these actions are not allowed, you popup to attack Islam, not those Muslims who might be responsible for it, this says a lot about your creditability.

Now, I can understand why you are doing this, as you made it clear, it is because Muslims are against the illegal state of Israel, expelling people out their properties, and land, massacring them, trying to divert the arguments always to be about Islam, is enough proof that you do not have anything to defend the actions of this illegal entity, except by trying to justify their crimes by bad reputing the other, this proves what I said earlier, that you are not looking for straight answers, but for a way to justify your hate and bigotry, so you feel better about yourself maybe, well, it won't work, but you can keep trying.

you are free to believe whatever, since I m not anti-Semitic, who can't even see the other, I will choose to believe Jews when they described Islam as an act of God's mercy :)

start a thread about it, to keep this thread about its topic, and will be good if you started by defining apostasy, then invite me to comment, I will be glad to post there, but do not expect me to post today as I have to go shortly.

Jesus accepted all, and tells man to preach the gospel of love to all mankind and even to beastkind.

There is a large difference between the law of judiasm and the freedom of Christianity.

Man was not made for law, but law for man.

And also the spirit teaches/shows that man and women compliment and help each other.

Jesus says love god and fellow man, and then the spirit of love will teach you in all things.

The spirit has shown me the value of a woman's spirit in my life. And I've felt the burn! But being a man, if I am sober and of godly mind, I am able to manage the extreme and unique natures of a woman, and share my strength with her. Then and there we compliment each other.

And she will be patient when I am rude and without grace, and her nature and prudence will be miracles for me, and I will learn from her. She will be a garden for me, and I will see what kind of tender I am. And I will be a tender for her.

There is a difference in us(man and woman). But its one, that with the light of god, we both can recognize and respect. And take joy in.

And the gospel of Christianity still is the deepest and most potent construct I know. And perfect and fruitful. And respects no religion beside love and turning to it.

Because this is the spirit of true man, the one that blesses solves and increases and quickens. And likewise this is expression of Jesus Christ, and why Christianity is called Christianity. Judaism's liberation and flowering.

Does Islam kneel to the great spiritual revelation of love and its working in man?

Now, the christianity I mention is true Christianity.

It is said the God's kingdom is like a field that was planted with wheat, and in the night God's enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat.

This is a perfect example of the disconnect between islam and christianity. There is much perversion is Christianity, and these are the weeds, and these are what you point out and make a sour judgment on.

The workers of the field ask the lord of the land, what should we do with these weeds, should we dig them up?

And he says no. Do not do this, you will risk uprooting my wheat along with the weeds because their roots are surely tangled.

When it comes time for the harvest, separate the wheat from the weeds and burn the weeds and store the wheat.

This is a message for you as a man. and me as a man, to take the truth the spirit ministered to us in our private hearts, and the perversions that exist, and discern between them. Keeping what is good.

Worship of Islam and Worship of Christianity are weeds. Siding with either against the other are weeds. There is one truth, and one love, and one judgment on the world. And the spirit has made it's paths and instructs man in this truth so we can both recognize the brother in each other.

    Imad,
maybe you should start learning about Christ Jesus, you have a lot of prejudgments and blame others of the same, lol, only search about Jesus and what he said about religion, you will be surprised.

Also, your antisemitism shines through and through, try to make some correction.

You're talking about Christianity without checking the facts.

I'm not going to post here verses, but Islam is a clandestine religion which is violent just like it's prophet was, hence I said the prophet of Muslims/Islam, now the prophet of extreme Islamists but not a prophet of GOD or Allah. Sorry, I read through almost all, went on to study the concept, both by scientific researchers and read many books.

Delusion may hurt for a while, but sure you can get over it. As I posted above, tradition, claiming world power, - or tell me what else a caliphate means, - extreme violence within your fellow brotherhood, I could go on and on ... - What are you defending?

Didn't you learn when Muhammad reached out preaching "his" version of prophecy for over 10 years, he got a striking 100 or so followers, after then he went on with violence, killed, murdered, slaughtered which as a consequence has enslaved you and your brethren until this day?

barbaric as barbaric can be ...
