So, are you saying that you are stupid enough to promote things on your website without at least searching on the company, and this was an innocent mistake? So, in addition to putting spyware on people's computers, you're saying that it doesn't even pay much? Really? Then WTF was this about??? I mean, you're either lying through your teeth here, or lying through your teeth there... which is it? I suppose you're still going to claim you're not a plagiarist too? -Michael
Sorry, I should have included some more on topic content... Clint keeps pissing me off and making me forget to be polite to others to others reading the thread by posting useful info. Although info about not trusting this scumbag is useful, it is indeed off topic. As I mentioned before, Rand Fishkin, of seomoz.com, did get some info at SES that Google did indeed discuss the sandbox, and that it is no longer unsubstantiated myth. -Michael
Dear PO 1. I am not going to let you twist my words or belittle me. 2. I love that your pissed and angry. I hope to keep this up and have you obsess over me some more and waste your time and resources lol and ruin each day you awaken. Me I find you quite hilarious and you remind me of a teenage little girl lol Grow up Michael!!!!! Do you have the proof on any website from Google admitting to a sandbox??? No then otherwise what you spout is heresay...and we all know about heresay... Peace
Google doesn't spider the whois webiste - google is a registrar. You think checking a few lines of code about the domains ownership when there is a change, is a large task compared to spidering all pages on about a billion sites? This isn't speculation - they actually go into a lot of detail about this in their patent filing. You should take the time to at least read the abstract.
I already told you it's on Rand's site... is this just your way of trying to distract from the earlier crap I pointed out about you being a liar and a thief? -Michael
No its shoving the fact you know little to nothing about which you yourself pontificate and that you cannot seem to understand the basic asking to prove such via a Google based webpage. I can build a website saying you are a cross dressing ape....doesnt mean its true. Still pissed and angry? You would make a great politician with how you try to twist things to suit your wants..... too bad I am much more intelligent than to fall for your ploy.... Good luck in getting a life
It just seemes to be a waste of time...I'm not sure what actual benefit this would have on the quality of SERP rankings. I understand for new domains, but checking registrar info to see if it exchanges hands? It's clear you are familiar with the subject, I guess I'm just doubting Thomas. Thanks for the info.
Google looks at registar data to determine when the site was registered as well as a few other items , such as domain registration expiration and other issues relevant to determing trust. In the Google Patent of 2003 they found that most sites that spammed their index were sites which registered their domain name for just one year....as such I would think the trust factor for such sites is low compared to a 5 or 10 year domain registration. Thats my thoughts of course and as with anything I could be wrong.
Well i think the sandbox exists. Just like you trust an experienced person in life, one should also trust websites according to age. True there are soccer players who play pro when they reach 16 but it rarely happens. Time is a good indication of quality.
An intresting article: Matt Cutts Confirms Sandbox Exists for Some Industries Sorry, I dont want to get involved in this argument.... This is not my opinon, just what i found.
mjewel: Backlinks *are* 100% used when calculating the PR for a sandboxed site. Sandboxed sites pass on and receive PR.
I put up 3 new vacation sites and all three are sandboxed I guess. It has been 3 months and still nothing. But other sites, BAM! I'm #3 on a high profile honda suv keyword for a Auto site, and I just put up the site a week ago. From what I've experienced, it is definitely targeting different industies or keywords. Though I think keywords probably have more to do with it. IMO google is targeting sites that use highly searched for keywords. by limiting the newcomers, they have more time to research the sites and produce better search results. Does this make sense or have I smoked to much crack this morning
Only if its the crack of shakiras booty : Otherwise I would agree some keywords are going to take longer to hit the mark for than others....its Googles way in building trust... would seem in their eyes if you can hang in for the high search high traffic terms then you are at least nothing if not serious & patient.. where as if you take short cuts and try to go outside the methods then Google puts the boot down so to speak..
