How to market a Charity Site ?

Well I am promoting this charity site : tinyheartsfoundation(dot)org

However, I need some feedback as to what do people look for before donating. How can I convene the genuine factor across. The site has all the waiting lists and also the reference to local newspaper news..But the donation the trust receives directly is far more than it receives through the Internet.

How can a reliability of the trust be shown online? Is there any institute which verifies the credentials and issues a certificate. The donations to the trust are already exempt under the Indian Income Tax Act.

Further, I did seo the site for terms like 'kids charity india' and ranks just below cry.org .. However I feel anybody will rarely search to donate...

Can anybody suggest me a set of keywords which people will look for to donate..

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi there..

As a visitor my first problem would be...how much trust is there in this site?...where does the money go to ?.
I dont see much background information and I m not sure that images displayed will strengthen my trust as a visitor.Maybe you should buy a certificate..

IMO you should not be using the site as a final destination for users to donate directly. Instead, use it to build awareness, branding and link it to your offline efforts as well. Run competitions, approach organisations etc, and use it as a launchpad for offline charity donations.

It is difficult as it is to make someone whip out their cards to a cause they are not familiar with

whoever donate to your charity is a good place to start to get the word out.. next time doing the donation drive.. place your website alongside the message, and it will build trust gradually.

Yeah true...but these things have been done already..offline things creates awareness in a local limited region. The donations the trust needs is far more than the locals can contribute...
