To be honest, Internet explorer isn't actually that bad, though chrome is a lot better than firefox or internet explorer
Yes it is. It's technically inept and incompetent. 12 years behind all other browsers in modern standards and practices. A web developer's worst nightmare. The only browser with tens of web sites devoted alone to fixing it. A Microsoft embarrassment. The worst browser on the planet.
I really don't care how much development Microsoft puts into this browser or the next one they plan to roll out. I don't think they get better, just worse. Every update, I download the new browser, and within less than an hour I'm deleting it from my PC. They need to just go back to the drawing boards, and start fresh from scratch. Then, maybe they could really compete with Firefox.
Microsoft gets back on track with a promising web browser. They are applying the feedback from the IE8 product cycle, and committed to delivering on another version of IE.
Great another Anti Standards browser from MS who's JS will only be 1/2 instead on 1/4 the speed of webkit. For the love of god MS give up the browser war it's not like its making you any profit anyway. Drop Bing, and IE. Instead focus on developing a transparent version of Windows 8 that operates seamlessly in a cloud and local. MobileMe is five years ahead of of anything MS has developed. If MS can focus the windows desktop in the cloud the issue of competing with google would dies as windows would become a full web environment.
Yeah. We heard that about IE8. More PR and BS. Here's the scoop from Microsoft's own IEBlog. IE9 will be at least 4 years behind all other current browsers when it comes out. It will be missing features all other browsers had 12 years ago. How's that for "getting on track"?
They are lost in the desert, and lost the race years ago, and to be honest the only reason I'm happy they still exist is to soulfully provide competition for the others to continue innovating.
The other browsers are now competing among themselves and Microsoft doesn't matter anymore. Until recently, they didn't even show up for the W3C and WHATWG meetings. So innovation goes on without them and the only thing Microsoft and IE do is hold back the web until the more modern browsers take over.
IE9 browser will attract everyone's attention this year, and will provide test version for users. SVG - the new feature will give you a great srprise.
Just to show you what you don't know, Microsoft has said IE9 won't be available for two years. Surprised if it makes it into IE9. Microsoft would only be about 10 years late as usual. Just because they finally joined the SVG working group is no indication IE will support SVG any time soon. Just look at Microsoft's javascript implementation as a perfect example of them kicking, screaming and dragging their heels while dragging that whole committee to a halt causing Brendan Eich, javascript's creator, to write a scathing online open letter about them. IE holds back the web. Microsoft should lower their heads in shame.
if microsoft care they should pack FF into everyones computer. that way they don't have to hear these feedback lol
As we know that microsoft is just continuing developing internet explorer one by one, so it can be that a new version 9 will just be appear and should be. I heared that ie 9 will be the fastest version and with all and even extra features that else browsers have including firefox. It will also be very comfortable as compared to others.
You were lied to. IE9's performance, right now, is twice as slow as Firefox/Chrome/Safari/Opera. It might implement some features all the other browsers had 2 years ago. It still won't be able to handle XHTML served as XHTML. ACID3 is only 32/100. IE9 will still be the those incompetent browser on the planet.
No way dude! Firefox has become really sucky, bulky and terribly slow these days. I was a great fan of firefox in the past, I've switched to chrome now.
