Recently I have been doing a couple of adsense niche sites and, like everyone else, got a happy surprise when Google did a PR update on NYE. But that got me thinking... do new sites generally stay N/A or 0 PR after they have been created until the next PR update, or are new sites generally awarded PR once they have been indexed based on the usual criteria before the next Google PR update? (i.e. by building enough backlinks can a new site go from no PR to say, PR4, before an update happens) Also, how often do PR updates happen?
PR update is unknown. It was said that PR update is on average takes 3 ~ 5 months. but last time when PR updated on Dec 31, i think it was just 2 months or so.. correct me if i am wrong. Just make sure you make some good content and maintaining an error free site.. and yeah in time to time have some backlinks build. My 1 ~ 2 month old blog got a PR of 2.. yipeeeeeeee
usually around every 3 months but the last update we had was in 2 months and the one before took 4+ months so hard to tell the exact timeframe and yes, a new site can go from N/A to PR4 in one update
I actually did this with my site Blogger Den. It's not particularly hard, you just need to put in a steady amount of work to build backlinks on forums and blogs, increasing your overall PR
I meant does it happen before an update (as in do they run the system once they fully index a site) or is it n/a or 0 until the next update? Thanks for all the tips so far though
New sites are usually unranked or pr0 first and you must to wait for the next update to see if it increases or not.
good back link is one factor others are title meta tags and content.............keyword density................unique images..................
Till next PR update it should stay N/A or PR0, at least in my experience. No one can predict when google will update next PR.
