ajax is not seo friendly! but you can build your website in such way so that there will be direct links to existing pages but in reality ajax functions will be executed.

If you mean to ask if ajax is seo-friendly, then answer largely depend on how you use it.

For example if you use greybox to show ajax windows, you can put the url on the href attribute of a link, which of course make it seo friendly. But thats not always the case. Some ajax scripts uses iframe to display the content and does not use href, rather uses javascript; which is not seo-friendly.

Ajax is programming method that will allow your site to work and load faster but it is not an SEO friendly type of method.

It seriously depends on how ajax is used from what i know google bots understand javascript so it should be somewhat normal

Advantages of using Ajax to improve the user experience on their sites. But, like Flash, Ajax can make a site difficult for search engines to index if the technology is not implemented carefully

SEO and Ajax dont really get along together. in other words, Ajax is NOT seo friendly. Ajax is basically form based script or some kind of javascript version that google yet doesn't read. things may change in the future when google will start reading scripts (they read flash now and didnt used to read it before so there is always hope for the future)

I think that plain old html is still the best way of doing SEO. It's not pretty, but certainly search engine friendly. :)

It solely depends on how you implement it..
Contents in AJAX codes are highly indexable by Google.

AJAX is pretty much invisible to SEO Spiders, kind of like Flash used to be , in my opinion.
