Anyone else notice the major SERP changes today in Google? It seems like domain age is a huge factor once again. Plus... I've seen website that ranked #1 for 2+ years fall in rankings. Anyone else notice this?
Not noticed anything yet but Google is always tweaking it's algorithm so it wouldn't surprise me too much anyway.
My few months old site having good backlinks was ranking on third page is now gone to 18th page. Not surprise because it was on 18th or 19th page on Caffeine Datacentre. I can see the same results here as I was seeing in Google Caffeine Datacentre (http://209.85.225.103/) and URL. So I think Caffeine is live here... Don't know about others.
If Google Caffeine takes in the age of the domain, those with old domain can sell it off for a lot of money
I think SERP turbulences do happen sometimes. It will be back soon if most of your site back links are still there.
Caffeine is here.... I'm the SEO Director for Go Daddy. Check out my personal site http://www.jimchristian.me for updates. I monitor about 100 data centers and I'm seeing a ton of rolling changes for my keywords.
still my site can not get into top 10 SERPs. 12/16/2009 Trend Report: 1 : rank# 85 2 : rank# 192 12/21/2009 Trend Report: 1 : rank# 85 :: 2 : rank# 152 :: 12/25/2009 Trend Report: 1 : rank# 88 :: 2 : rank# 152 :: 1/7/2010 Trend Report: 1 : rank# 90 ::
Google is changing all the time. I have a keyword rose by 10 rankings yesterday and I checked it one hour later, it went back to the old ranking.
Google has confirmed themselves that they have nothing to report on Caffeine. It's not live yet at all. It was on multiple data centers yesterday, but it definitely hasnt been rolled out onto all of them.
