Making money with webhosting

Can you make money in 2010, with a new webhosting company, there are so many companys including hostgator...

 

Yes still can have market share.
What more important is target the smaller niche compare to HG.
Or team up with small time webhosting company to reduce cost in the same time increase efficiency.

 

Yes you can. just don't target the general public as your client. Target those people surrounding you. Like for example, offering your services to schools, organizations and bloggers whom is located at your place

 

First,I think the website is too simple.Maybe you can try to make it more attractive.
If you want to make it international,the domain name may be another problem.

 

Build your hosting company local first and expand from there.

You can but it is a very competitive space.

 

Its really hard to make it as a web host because there is so much competition - if you're a web designer than you can upsell to clients

 

You need unique and great design, because you have to work hard if you want be a competitor to other hosting services

 

Yes you can search Local business they could buy. In Asian region almost people use to go for local Web Hosting co rather online.

 

Well I just started a Webhoster in Germany and you can definetly make money even though it's really hard to find customers nowerdays (but this applys for nearly all other niches too)

You just need a good provider and the right advertisement and then things will work out if you are really serious about what you are doing

 

Adv for new hossting company is not affordable price, becuase is an hard sector. The most important company has a great brand and economy power, so I think you can build a little niche in your local. Good luck with that.

 

I agree with Sensei.Design. If you create a good product, you can be successful. In web hosting, this consists of friendly, fast and helpful customer support, and fast, trouble-free and high server uptime. I am not sure if any of you recall, some years ago Rackshack (now merged with ThePlanet) started offering affordable dedicated hosting when everyone else though the market was too saturated. It turned out he was so successful, became so popular and big and opened several datacenters within a few years.

There are money for sure but hosting biz is quite hard. So you have to work hard to make money. I just quit this field almost 1 year ago.
