Hi everyone, I'm wondering if Google has a set day/time or schedule where it re-analyzes rankings and shuffles sites around accordingly...or is this action taken on a randomized basis? Thanks
Neither - it's not scheduled or random - it's just constantly changing as the bot constabtly crawls sites and feeds new data into the algorithm.
? - I don't know what a 'softword' is - but I said it's a bot and that serps is constantly changing - so I don't understand what your point is.
Agree with Magda, but there is two different things that happens. One is that the data google collects changes (i.e. they see you have some new links with relevant anchortext, so they score your site higher), this happens without any human interaction continuesly. Then you also have changes in the algorithm it self, for instance that they decide to give a bit smaller weighting on all forum links. But there is no set (or at least not published!) schedule for when they do this, and as I have understood it they make small changes to the algorithm quite often
it does it all time - every day every month every hour. but it depends on the site how often site is visited by googlebot. from once in several month to once in several minutes. News sites are visited often.
Thanks for the responses guys! I have another question. If I obtain backlinks to my site, will google automatically see them and reshuffle? Is their any additional steps taken after obtaining backlinks to "advise" google to re-crawl your site and re-rank the site accordingly? Just wondering if theres any other additional helpful steps to be taken after the backlink process to better rank a site. Thanks
I believe they rely on bots so its competely random and by chance. Of course you can manipulate it by unique content on your website, etc.
