how can i increase ranking ....help me save my job please...

Hi All

My problem is that i have been hired to increase the ranking of a website in Google and i have never done that before . although i have some idea of what i have to do ...What is in my mind is that i have to post the link of the website in forums and directories....

I also have to send them weekly report..

So Please can any one guide me what should i do ....

It would be great if you contribute even if a single point if it comes to your mind....i dont have time to read big books on SEO....

Your help will be very very help ful to me and help me in making my living....i am under huge debts ...so please ......

help me save my job....

Page Rank as nothing to do with traffic or ranking.

To orginal Poster, First, SEO is a long term commitment. Second, why did you take the job if you have no idea what you are talking about.

What you are asking is like asking "I need to build a boat and I have never done it, help me" . It is a big job.

First, increasing rankings thus traffic, implies that you will first do a keyword research to find keywords that will beeasy to rank and bring traffic.

One you have determine a few keywords, you should optimise your page for it. First, their is onpage search engine optimisation, and then offpage optimisation.

onpage optimisation is having the right content and various html elements so that search engines value your page for the desired keywords.

offpage optimisation is about building links to your site. links with proper anchor text, but always with variations so it looks natural.

For camay...i have to do off page optimisation ....they have also given me list of keywords......

I just need tips from people out there......

can any one share please.....how should i start working....let say ....i take key word no 1 .....now i will post the link in the forum and the text of my post should contain that keyword....am i right....thats the thought in my mind.....

 

Well I'll try not to be offended by someone whom clearly took a job they weren't qualified for, when people do things like that in terms of SEO it makes the whole industry look bad and makes the site owner think all of us involved in IM are a bunch of crooks who really don't know what we're doing.

There are plenty of quality here that could use the work.

My advise would be to read the topics here and see what types of IM strategies work for you. Have you written any articles? Podcasts?

Mark you have made quite an offensive post....No i havent done that ...i have never done podcast ...however i frequently write articles for my personal website.....

But i again ....appeal all out there....if they can share any no 1 secret for increasing ranking in google.....

what we have to do is that we have to spread the word...we have to increase the back links or website we are promoting.....by putting its links all over the web...and more these links are more will be the rankig on google....what do you people comment on this

Plus make a lot of comments on dofollow blogs in related theme. You can use the list of keywords to find relevant blog posts.
Someone has compiled a list of dofollow blogs, you can make comments there. Use name/url option, and put the url of the website.

1. Hire an article writer and have 5 relevant articles written per week.

2. Submit these articles to ezine or somewhere like that.

3. Your page rank will grow.

 

Another thing probably want to do is have good internal linking, a site map etc.

 

I would recommend using Mass Article Control or something like that - that program has helped me a lot in getting TONS of backlinks and articles about my product or webpage established.... It's a great software - I think you can find it on CLickbank

 

I want to add one more, you should do blog commenting on dofollow blog. It should be related to your theme or content which have internal blog page PR.

Blog commenting is really a important key to help to increase PR but make it sure on dofollow blog. Hopes it will also help you but don't do that again with any other client.

For telling me and people all over the world about he mass article control. i am very glad that people from all over the world are sharing great seo tips and now i have a clear plan in my mind that how i will work.
I summarize here the points mentioned by different people to increase the ranking so that it might be helpful for other people

1) Try link exchange with other relevant sites
2) Post on relevant forums

Do on-page SEO first - keywords in url, keywords in title tag, keywords in meta description tag, rewrite web page content with the keywords, add keywords int he ALT and TITLE tags of images , etc. and then proceed with getting as many backlinks as possible.
