Hi all, We know the importance of directory submissions, Google changing their latest algorithm called Caffeine.. is Google caffeine give importance to directory submissions?
Well its too tough to say it rite now coz we dont even know if its totally live yet.. lets wait n see
Its hard to tell since caffeine is not yet introduced, but i guess the weightage of backlinks will be the same as earlier, but new algo's will be taken into consideration.
Are your sure about google caffeine giving importance to Directory submissions ? If so that should be good news to many of us
If caffeine is going to give importance to directory submissions this is going to be great. I'm waiting to see what will happen.
I'm sure it will give credit to sites listed in the big directories such as DMOZ and Yahoo, whether it is more or less than at the moment remains to be seen.
I don't know about directory listings but I do know we've seen a lot of changes in the way Google handles local search results in the last month. Some customers report getting a Google Favorite Places sign to hang in the window with a bar code for smartphones. It's going to get interesting.
Though I have been hearing that directory submission will be less important in search engine optimization yet a lot of people are still submitting their sites to directories. I guess people will still do directory submission Google Caffeine will come in to the scene.
Absolutely not, if anything directories will be of less value as duplicated content is supposed to be recognized more. The main deal with caffeine is faster search queries and supposed more focus on page keyword relevancy
Generic uninformed post of speculation and misinformation. Caffiene will be good (for me at least ¬_¬) however I think directories are old hat for back when link quality wasn't a factor, it's importance these days is fairly negligable, I mean really, how much traffic is anyone getting from directories? It's just another link. Time will tell, then once Caffiene has been rolled out after Google's been laughing at all our idle speculation after keeping it on one datacentre until they get bored ("Don't be evil" doesn't mean "be good" ), there'll be a whole host of posts bemoaning the new results. None of this waiting rubbish, spend your time making quality content for your visitors and you'll be fine.
