No, nulled copies of your software don't loose you alot of money! It earns you alot of money...

A small php programmer like yourself will earn thousands of clients and $, while the big guys like vBulletin and IPB is the actual companies that loose on piracy. Why?

It's just like pirated music, the small bands don't loose a dime on piracy, but instead earn great on it! Trough piracy then the smaller bands is getting known, people download, listen and like them and share with their friends what to download. In the end, due to pircay then the smaller bands is getting more popular, and the more popular they become the more CD's they sell.

But big bands like U2, Queen etc etc don't need advertising, as people already know of them, so the piracy is a pure loss for them.

    AGREED.

That reminds me of the fact that even Facebook isn't all that private as they claim to be :). There are a huge bit of trespassing that takes place there too.

I would also be careful, because the person that nulled the script could have injected their own code that could make your site hackable. There's no end to things they might have done to the new script. Just be careful and also like the others have said it's illegal.
