Hi, I have never tried friendster.com. But heard many people talking about it. How do you feel? Is it worth joining with it?
Hmmm....but still they have pretty high traffic it seems. Not sure though. Do they offer any promotional offers like FB fanpages?
Friendster is recently brought over by Malaysian owner. Basically friendster had lot of Asian users, if you are targeting Asia market it worth a trial. If you are targeting global market, i would suggest go for facebook and twitter... Donald
Friendster is a really good platform; nice design and functionality. I dont know why it didn't get much popular. May be it need some unque features to add with it or may be better marketing.
Look - I'm getting a lot of traffic from Twitter - I'll stick w/ them. I have a fb account as well - great to get the word out as well.
Friendster used to be very popular, then MySpace overtook them and now Facebook. If you really have time to devote to a Friendster account and gaining friends then go for it, but really it's just another Orkut - not a bad social networking platform, but not the most popular and you'll have to put some work into your profile
Friendster is quite popular in Asia. But now friendster is like trying so hard to be like facebook, i like the old format of friendster.
could you tell your methods to bring traffic via friendster. I searched there, they don't have a feature like FB fanpage or so. Then how? Please explain. M!
If you want to join friendster, I suggest you focus your attention to Facebook. Its much more worth it than friendster. Just like what robyries said, its going down since Facebook started..
i used to use friendster before fb, but i seldom log into friendster because i prefer to keep it personal only for my close friends .i like the feature in fb and the applications. nowadays friendster is trying to copy facebook and i think they lose their own personality. Facebook has more space to do marketing.
If your intention is only getting traffic...you can try any social network and it will more or less bring you traffic. But what you really want is traffic that converts, traffic that sticks, and I think creating a facebook fan page can really help you. Friendster does have something similar but it's not nearly as good because of its minimal functions
