    Hello DP members,

Have you been considering outsourcing to other countries? Have you tried it as well? Do you think it is a good idea?

Any advice you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

    Well,
I normally use GAF to post my projects and I am satisfied with the returns so far.

I only ever outsource small projects, where there isn't much money being transferred.

I've had a decent experience with most. Timezones cause problems, though.

It depends on the person you're outsourcing to in my opinion.

Yep. I totally agree with you mate.

I think For organizations, outsourcing is now a necessity and a part of their daily operations. Nearly all web-based jobs are oursourced now. Web development can't be done by only 1 person. It requires joint efforts from experts like programmers, web designers, content writers etc. So for online businesses, it is not practical to employ so many people and best way to get rid of this is to oursource these services.

Outsourcing is done where the matcheable labor/skill is available in abundance and at cheaper rates...usually web-based jobs are outsourced to India and Philippines. IMHO, the talent pool in these countries match those of the West!

Outsourcing is a good way to cut down on marketing and optimization expenses. I've hired writers from the Philippines before and they're pretty competent. Their rates are way cheaper that American writers.
