Twitter account suspension

hi All,

Recently (End of Dec 2009) Twitter is doing a mass clean up for their account. A lot of twitter user is impacted as Twitter suspend quite a lot of them, the reason is because of breaking their "rules"..Is anyone impacted here? Personally i had quite a few of twitter account in niche marketing suspended

 

Well, mine is still running as I didn't do much with them.
Just used them few times.

Don't follow too many people of Twitter will notice your spamminess

 

u can get a new one,also try to contact them and ask if they could activate it again.

 

What is the best way to promote your site or get backlinks with something like Twitter?

 

Twitter is not a place for links, it is good for traffic, the only links you will possibly get that will pass any "temperary page rank" are the links from Widgets on people's websites that use a keyword twitter search and they only last till a few new tweets push yours off the results page.

What you want to do is to stay active on good forums like this one, submit articles, submit to directories, social bookmarking and submit your Rss feed to Rss feed directories also. You will gain many one way incoming links.
