    Dear Members,
Please tell me how to get users for my 10 days old forum website. You can see here => http://forum.wedost.com

Please tell me the steps required to make a forum website popular without having any illegal or copyright contents?

    Thank you.

first of all start making posts yourself. then participate in similar forums.

once the forum gets some content and active users you can start contests or ppc campaigns.

forums are like the bee honeycomb. depending on the interest that your topic generates you would automatically gain users to your forum.

create 20-25 accounts start posting. Also, get do follow backlinks by posting on Blogs and Forums related to yours if you can. Try keywords that are less competion. Also, never give up stick with it you will find out it takes lots of work i easily put in 14 hour days doing backlinks.

Connect to facebook. There are many people there whose interests fit your forum. Before you do that, build up your content. It's frustrating when people come to a forum for the first time and find no valuable information.

Use social media sites and social networking sites to promote your forum, try and get a few mods on your forum, they will activly post on your forum and try and refer more members to your forum.
I am using this on my new forum as it has worked in the past, well for me anyway.
You can also use some sort of reward system for your members, this will give your members a reason to continue posting, whether this is free advertsing once they reach 500 posts, or even a promotion to moderator, what I have on my new forum is a seperate sub forum which is only visable to members with at least 500 posts. This will hopefully encourage members to be active among the forum.
My new forum is here if you want to check it out. http://forum.jgblogging.com

Too many forums makes your site look inactive and confuses would-be posters. You've got 66 boards when ~12 would be fine to start. Easier to make more when needed than it is to convince people to post despite the size and emptiness of the place.

Hi, I have recently setup a travel portal (http://thetripmagic.com) with forum, blog, personal space, social network etc. Also featuring exclusive hotels including forts and palaces. But I'm having trouble getting quality (or even quantity :p) blog posts on the site. Any tips welcome.

Same here. My website is aviation-forum.com It is actually the biggest aviation forum on the net. I have tried to put in the best of all the forums to make it as complete as possible. I too put in a lot of hours as much as 18- 20 hrs a day. The only problem is even though I have a decent amount of pageviews very few users seem to drop by. I have not yet advertised any where as I believe the first impression is the last impression so I dont want people to come to my site and leave if they feel it is incomplete. Anyways you can have a look and pass your comments about the biggest aviation forum.

i dk is it a technique but i used and succeeded. Give some interested name to your boards or catagories. As at my forum for student i name catag. As
1- deans office for support board
    2- notice board for anncmnt
    3-cafateria for off topic
    4-bunk for log out
any one can use these name i grant the prmsn coz my forum is dead coz of a crash on my host server and i losted my interest in building from 0 again

Buy databases related to yours. They are fairly cheap.
