I tried w3optimizer.com to see what it says about my site.

It says:
5. Meta Keywords
META KEYWORDS can have 4 keywords for full utilization - This means,the page can be targeted upto 4 keywords.Currently it has 1 keywords.

What does this mean? In meta keywords I have my main keyword twice and it still says that I have 1 keyword.

Any ideas?

 

If you would repeat the same keyword twice, that would considered as one.

 

yeah i guess you have repeated the keywords.
if you know the psoition of meta tags then edit them. if you do not know

<meta name="YOUR" content="YOUR"> 
<meta name="YOURdescription" content="YOURDESCRIPTION">

fill in the required your,description and paste it just before the </head> of your template. try the site provided by you to check the % . above 80 should do good.

you have to use 4 different keywords if you use the same one twice, its still considered as only 1. This is to avoid keyword spamming.

 

I have like 10 keywords in my keywords meta tag and it still says 1

 

But are they different keywords like the previous posters have suggested.

I think the keywords meta tag is not so useful as before and even has been omitted by Google in rankings though it would not hurt if you keep it there.

If you entered some meta tags (keywords) and the software that you are using tells you, that you just have one, then it could be also a software failure. If you open you site and go in the menu to "View" and "Sourcecode", then you can see, which meta tags (keywords) are really there.
