If i put a place for advertisements into a theme I haev created for people to download on WordPress, how exactly does that work?
Do I have to write something special into the code and what does the user have to do to put in an advertisement?
Also is there a limit to how many can be on one page?

If you're using ad space such as google adsense or some form PPC ads, then the limits will be based in the ToS for that company. If you're using your own ads, then there is no limit.

From what I gather, you've created a theme for others? Or did i misinterperet what you tried to portray? If this is the case, then most wordpress users will only use a theme that has an outbound link in the footer of the page, and so it's highly unlikely that people will use it.

To add ad spaces, consider using the custom widget plugin or just add a few lines to the template via the template editor

wow, that's a really clean theme. However, I can't see any blocks for advertisements, are you wanting to instert them into the sidebar? And for advertisement blocks, I would recommend <DIV>'s for what you're wanting to do

well no, but if you're looking at including them in the templates for everyone then that's the way to do it. If you want to add some to a current blog, install the "custom widget" plugin and then create some <DIV>'s using that. The custom widget plugin is very useful in numerous situations
