Hi, I have had the same anchor text on a strong blog now for several months. The blog owner has accepted other links onto the blog and there is 5 of them with the same anchor text as mine, which I think may devalue the link 'juice' from mine. If I changed the anchor text would this have an adverse affect on the link or is it recommended not to change the anchor text? Would I be better of just removing the link? Thanks
Changing anchor text of a link can affect your rankings for the page being linked to since Google and the other engines use the anchor text as a strong clue as to what the page being linked to is all about. Adding links to a page (irrespective of the link text) will reduce the amount of link juice or page rank being passed to outbound links. But the amount is usually miniscule and is not affected by the link text. I would just leave it unless the link text they are currently using is not the keyword phrase you're trying to get the target URL to rank for.
i think is better to have different anchors, and not to use the same anchor all the time.use more keywords
Its a loose-loose situation for you in both cases. If you would change the anchor text you have to wait until google does the recalculation on the new anchor text to see if it got you anything good. Having several links with same text would sure dilute your link credit. Your best bet is changing the anchor text I would say.
better for you to not change the anchor text, its will cause for you to loose your rank! before building anchor text, check the previous anchor texts and don't type the same
I think even you have same anchor text with the other site you will get different value from that site depending on the relevancy of your site to them.
