More than likely no there is no legal action you can take. Do you have anything showing they owe you $1500? Have they filed for bankruptcy/closed the company down?

This happened in Feb. and you're just now trying to get this taken care of?

I believe Affiliate Junktion was based in new Zealand & closed in February 2009. It was a basically a pyramid scheme. You paid for hosting through them and they set you up with a hosted site where you tried to drive traffic to get others to sign up. They made their money on the hosting commissions from ipower, bluehost etc..

Why didn't you ask for help right after you got scammed? If you were asking that question in March 2009, there's possibility, you can get advise here and some actions.

Feel sorry about what happened to you, but don't give up in online business, keep thinking positive!

This was not an affiliate network, it was a scam targeting noobs. The affiliate program sold nothing except itself.

    Here is how it worked...

They required you to sign up for $75 hosting to join their program and refunded the $75 to your account. You however couldn't get your $75 back until you met the $150 minimum payout. Which meant you had to refer others to join this scheme. (Now before some idiot here at DP reads this and thinks they can pull the same thing off, realize that it is illegal to sell a "money making oppurtunity" that sells only itself.)

Google "Affiliate Junktion" and look at all of the great reviews. This should open a few eyes. Never ever trust anything those kind of sites tell you.

It's possible that they will also launched new program in order to get more money. That's the usual technique of scammers so that members can't trace them once they close down their site.

If you want to find some reputable affiliate programs and money-making opportunities, try visiting http://www.imreportcard.com/ to check the reputations of these companies.

Generally, any affiliate program that requires you to pay them money up front is a scam.
