Hi, I need to get 35 new visitors per day to my (first) website, for my goals to be reached, is that a lot, normal, or a little? I have been studying internet marketing for about 6 months now, but I never had the time to start my own website, but now I have, so if I know this much, do you think that I will be able to get 35 new visitors per days? I will be doing social media marketing, I will pay affiliates to promote my website, some SEO, forum marketing, and article marketing. Do you have any tips? Thank You!!!!
Based on all that you are saying, you are going to get FAR more than 35 a day in my opinion. If you go all out with all of your techniques you could get 100's even thousands of visitors that way. One thing I can tell you is once you have 10 posts you can put in a signature in your posts here with a link to your website without spamming. I personally believe sigs are a great form of marketing. One post with a signature may get you 4 or 5 clickthroughs to your site in a matter of days. just stay away from traffic exchanges, they never work, hehe.
I agree with BuddhistLove. You'll get what you need with the promotions you're doing and any time you are willing to spend some money, you'll always speed up the process. The first step is getting some eye balls and listeners to work with and social media is HUGE for you to get this started and move those people to more stable and long term contacts for continuos traffic.
The goal you have set can be easily achieved with some basic SEO. I would say just keep your site updated with unique content no matter what, then work on each aspect to of SEO one by one or as you said you can outsourced that work. Do this consistently and you will for sure surpass your goal.
What kind of site is it? A sales page needs different marketing than an e-commerce or informational site!

I am doing a website on revealing magic tricks, the key words will be "magic tricks revealed". I don't think that there are any forums on this. I narrowed the types of marketing that I am doing down to mostly video marketing, SEO, social networking, and forum marketing, if I can find one on this and these are the types of marketing that I am doing. You should go around and download a variety of different magic related videos, watermark them with your web address and reupload to youtube, liveleak, dailymotion, metacafe and some other popular sites. Look around for a magic trick ebook with resale rights that you can offer as a free download on your site. You can use this as an incentive for people to visit your site and also harvest emails if you have a form for people to fill out before they download. Find some funny magic trick photos and upload them to your site then submit them to stumble, digg, reddit and mix. Create or buy 10+ magic articles with 500+ words and add them to your site and alter them based on what keywords you're going for.
well 30 is a very small number. The meathods you have discussed can bring in a lot more than that. Your goal should be a lot higher than that. You should aim more for the thousand mark. You will get there, just work on it.

You can build as many backlinks as you want, so long as they're not spam, and not be penalized by Google. (Otherwise I'd build a trillion links to Google.com and make it PR0.) The general conversion rate is 5%, but I've had products vary anywhere from 1% to 24%.
