you make money by selling more into the traffic than what the traffic costs you. You can get traffic for free.. or you can buy keyword advertising.. banner advertising... I would say stick to a topic you are really passionate about and not much competition to break into.. and be an expert in that field... if you really want to succeed in the long haul... as simple as that.. no get rich quick.. no get rich easy.. but luck does play a big part in any business

No one is going to hold your hand and make sure you make money online. You need to work hard and do it yourself.
Seriously? There ARE honest people out there. I don't know why everyone dwells on the evil of a few... I've been scammed before, but there ARE a lot of places I can go where I know (within a certain reasonable amount of doubt) that what I pay for is what I get. For instance - the grocery store. the movies (quite a hit to the sack anymore). rent. When you deal in shady channels it makes it more difficult on you. Luckily a lot of money transfer sites have protection, but you can't rely 100% on that all the time.
I just went and checked it out. That is an entry level forum. There is nothing wrong with that, but don't expect to find advanced info on such forums.

Once again, thanks for all your input. Every answer has helped in one way or another. I have web sites, just need to get going. Lots of good ideas here that make sense.
yep...its you are going through the classic " I dont where to turn to " phase. I think it goes to say that most of us have all been there before. If you want to make money on the net then you need to know..there is no harder place to make money at. There are a million other ways to make money, most of them probably easier than making money on the web. When I made my first 15$ back in 2006 it was a good excuse to call a party which cost me $350!. No...seriously...after making hundreds of mistakes, the largest was trusting many of the so called "gurus" who were disclosing their "secrets" to me and selling me worthless software and that did nothing but give me an affiliate link, which in return let them make even more money off me. Then I met this guy who was making thousends a day. He gave me the most valuble advice anyone has ever given me. He told me....... " what ever you are doing...stay focused, dont give up and resist the temptation to start a new project". Along the way I learnt that Web Gurus are not here to help YOU...they are here to help their own bank accounts....thats why they are "Gurus". I did as he said and wrote an e book about something that meant a lot to me and then built a site around it, spent money have a sales copy written and sat hours and hours in front of my laptop waiting fore something to happen............untill it happened. My advice to you......dont ever give up..no matter how frustrating this may seem. Believe in yourself and what you are doing and eventually it will pay off. Above all...keep your site unique and make sure its updated with good clean, fresh content. I think most of us have been where you are now. Who do you trust now?.... Who is telling the truth and who is going to bleed my dry? Keep reading this site. There are a hell of a lot of great people here at DP and its worth reading what they have to say............good luck from me
