Does link from a diffrent niche site has value?

Well I done some Photoshop work on a PR5 website and i got the right to put my website link on their site.

Now problem is their website is health niche and my site web design.

So a backlink from that site still hold any value?

BTW the websites are not english.

 

It absolutely holds the same link quality as any PR5 website imo. There is no way that google or any other search engine could write an algorithm to discern a "related" niche.... no way at all. A pr5 backlink is a pr5 backlink.

I mean if you have a website about "Best place to have a picnic" and some guy with another niche "sailing" comes on your website and posts about how he and his wife "love to have a picnic on their sailboat".... is that related or not?

 

yes it does have value but related links are best

that just isnt true, google does have the algo which determines related content, links from site related to yours hold much more weight

 

Of course there is a difference and its proven since years.

Lets say you have a website about Photoshop, and you get a PR5 link from another website that uses the word Photoshop a lot as well. That is definitely more worth than a PR5 link from a gardening website.

How much of difference it makes is not clear, maybe its tiny, but there is a difference.

But then again, if the gardening website has 2000 backlinks itself and the Photoshop website only 100, then the gardening website has probably more worth.

If you have the option to choose a related website, always go for it.

Its SEO and there is never a 100% guarantee on anything

Read my post again.... I said backlinks with related keywords are worth MORE, I didn't say backlinks that are not related are worth nothing. Of course they're worth a lot! Almost the same.

 

Go for it. It will help even if it is not in the same niche.

 

Link is still a link. It has a value to search engines even if it is not related to your site niche. But of course, related ones are the best, IMO!

 

I think it does have value and one can get good backlinks too but relevant sites are much better.

 

in my opinion.............it has no worth..............or it may filter your website in google search if google has found some non family safe content on the health website......................
