Hi guys, I just ditched blogspot.com and nofollow. I've tried twitter, blog commenting, submitting to directories etc. Based on my site, what other ways do you think I can do to market my site? My site is new so I'm not hoping to instantly get 1000 uniques a day. But what steps should I take so that in a few months time, I can achieve that result! That's a great list! However I think I won't be using most of them. I used to maintain a site few years back and I've tried most of them, which didn't work for me..
Social media is definitely the way to go. Find forums on your topic, so I suppose men's health and fitness forums, and market your link there. You'll gain a more targeted amount of traffic which will result in more longterm visitors.
If you find a way to market your site that is not in that list, please let us know. If it ain't in that list, it hasn't been invented yet.

This is indeed a great list, if you can able to follow all of this then there would be no stopping! However it requires you to be dedicated and have lots of time for your site to really make it hit the top!

I've tried a lot of ways also but the best ways for me are still adwords and SEO ... may be I'm missing something.
Search on your keywords and write contents about such keywords. Start link building for those keywords. This one is time taking procedure but after one month hard labour you will be able to see steady traffic from search engine itself.
only advice I can give is to be persistant and consistent in what you are doing, because it seems to me you know more than enough.
The top ways to drive traffic could be PPC marketing, SEO, forum marketing and article marketing. Its going to cost you time or money to drive traffic online. Sometimes both, depending on how you have your traffic strategy get up.
