Insert the standard "Im not a mod" clause.

Maybe they should sticky that thread in the Politics/ Religion subforum? Just checked. It's not there.

Last time I check speaking out against a specific country was allowed here in the US which is where this board is based in. While that may be different than the laws within another country, there's no way a single site can obey all of the laws of every single country.

People may share their opinions, and not everyone has to like them. That said, direct insults and bashing are not tolerated. However, mods generally don't waste our time in the cesspool that is the P&R section, so if you want us to see something, report it. But if you're constantly reporting a specific member just because you keep provoking fights and reporting each other, count on being ignored. A lot of folks in their act like children. If you can't take heated discussions, stay out of P&R. They're going to happen. If a post legitimately crosses a line, report it. Just know that crossing your line doesn't necessarily cross ours.

I've seen loads of stuff in the P&R forum, but never racism, if that's what you're pointing out?

Or do you just want to ban discussions about your country, from people outwith your country?

People are very welcome to start controversial discussions. People are not forced into one line of thinking here, and frankly that would be far worse than controversy. If you find something truly abusive, report it. That's all there is to it. We'll deal with them on a case by case basis if they do violate the rules.
