Just ask Google what is you web site about just being nosy, Go straight to Google's page and you can do it there.
First search "football" or relate keywords on Google > Show options > then click forum. You will find a bunch of football related forums. participate on those forums with your link in signature. You will get a lot of visitors.
When you make a site it automatically gets put into google, but it may take a couple of days to show up on searches.
Your website won't get automatically listed on Google you need to collect backlinks to your website so that Google spiders come to your website and crawls it.
