Can I expect to see better positions in google? My site jumped from PR 0 to PR 4...how long will it be until my site improves in rankings in google search?
The only thing that was updated was the PR score viewed by the public. Your site has probably already had PR4 for a longer period of time. Your REAL pagerank isn't updated every 3 months, only your "Public" pagerank which doesn't have any additional value except an increasement of your Epenis!
I've got domains with a PR1 that list first place in the indexes for their terms, and I've got domains with PR4 that show second/third page. I've even got a domain that was removed from the listings by request almost a year ago that shows up with a PR3. Page Rank these days appears to be more of a ruse .. an entertainment for webmasters, not too unlike a Saturday morning cartoon show. Higher Page Rank won't guarantee higher listings and higher listings won't guarantee higher Page Rank.
LMAO!!! Now the Indians are going to start building spam sites for E-PENIS enlargement products!!!!!! I can see it now, E-PENIS enhancement blogs by the thousands by Raj Patel lol. You make pr bigger extend e-penis, thank you come again. Every swingin dick in India already runs a penis enlargement blog and an seo blog, now they can just merge them together lol.
I think your right. PR is only one variable of how Google ranks a site, I don't think its the end all of everything, just one of millions maybe.
No, PR is the googles main tool to rank your site. However, google only updates the viewable pagerank every 3-4 months. Google constantly updates your PR "behind the scenes". Therefore it's impossible to tell if the showing pagerank is proper for your site, because things can have changed since the last update. But now, just after an update, google toolbar is showing your proper pagerank.
Why do sites with lower PR outrank authority sites with high PR? Because it is NOT the main ranking factor..
it is nothing to do with your rankings, pagerank only show how relevant your content relate to the other sites
As long as you get more and more quality backlinks for your site, its PR can still has the chance to go up.
PR still plays and will play a vital role in SERP, It's not just an entertainment shyte. You have to remember to mix PR with relevancy. I know there're lots of people on this forum buying irrelevant blog comments on PR5+ pages and expect to rank very high... just to let you know you WILL NOT rank high with those rubbish links even though your PR is high, you're forgetting about relevancy and quality. To capone2009, why do you think google.com don't come up first for insurance? Cause despite their PR they are not trying to rank there. Overall, everybody knows that PR is important as long as those links come from relevant websites, not just junk comments or forum posts. BTW, people stop spamming blogs and forums with your useless 'Good Share' comments and posts as you won't get any benefits from it.
