Hello, I've got website, www.hostcule.com, however Google and Yahoo are fine at indexing it, Bing just doesn't seem to like it It's not even acknowledging that the website by entering hostcule in search, only links to it. Any ideas? I doubt that it's been penalised, in fact, rankings have gone up in Google and Yahoo...
I am having the same problem with Bing - Have you added your site to their Webmaster Toolbox and submitted an XML sitemap?
That always work for me. Submit your website to the Webmaster-thing and just wait. Even though that's not mandatory. I've had all my websites indexed @ Bing - without adding them with their XML sitemap. Do a site:yoururl.com for your website. If not, then you'll just have to wait...
You really need someone to work on your SEO. Could you send me a PM with the URL, the keywords you're trying to rank high for and so on...? Would love to analyze your website!
I find that Bing and Yahoo are very hard to get on as opposed to google. Don't know why exactly that is but it just is.
Bing is a lot slower compared to Google and Yahoo. It took our most recent e-commerce site almost 6months to start appearing in Bing, while Google had it in 2 days and Yahoo took over a month. We've had the sitemaps submitted to all three and the same time. From what i've noticed Bing is very similar to Yahoo. It's SERPs only show 3 pages, just like Yahoo did before, but if you search for specific products which are only found on inner pages, they will still come up in SERPs and the link points to our home page, again just like Yahoo did before.
Wait for some time buddy. And one more thing you must optimize your keywords inorder to get indexed soon by BING.
Probably has something to do with the fact that: A: Microsoft doesn't have as many computers working for them, which is hard to imagine. Or... B: They are purposely indexing unknown sites slowly in order to filter out garbage sites that aren't around for long. Or... C: Something to do with the fact that since Google has more websites indexed, more backpages will lead to more backpages, and once Bing has been online another year or so it will start to catch up. Or... D: Google is just more efficient somehow. Even though Google has almost no commercialism, its still the most popular search site out there (amazing, isn't it?). I wouldn't let it ruin my day.
I've had them evaluated twice already :/ Looks like it's a waiting game Yeah ABCD bing.com <> google.com
It does look like a waiting game, bing has only indexed the homepage of my site. I submited the sitemap months ago, and submited it again recently (after some changes) the site is authenticated in Bings webmaster tools too. Google and yahoo have both indexed the site fully, and much quicker.
I feel like Bing does things very differently in their quest to set themselves apart from the other engines. It should be interested to see if Bing can continue to grow and they have different indexing and listing criteria, if people will have to choose which way to optimize their site, moreso for Google or moreso for Bing. Google obviously still dominates but just something to think about.
I noticed soem bing traffic over the last couple of days in my analytics, I thought yay indexed, but not quite. It seems bing has now indexed 2 pages of my site, which were the first 2 landing pages I started link building to at the start of my SEO campagn, which now have a decent amount of mature backlinks. I guess Bing ranks the popularity of your site from backlinks it finds and then indexs only popular pages.
Forget about Bing, you'll just get frustrated by submitting your site several times and still no results.
