I am looking into creating a few download sites and trying to earn money through affiliate downloads (RapidShare, MediaFire, Megaupload, etc). Has anybody had much success with this? If so, what are the best companies to use? Uploading hasn't worked well for me so far

Why do you want to build many sites? One good/ popular site is better than 10 deserted sites. You will not have the time to take care of that many let alone making them great. Focus on just one if you would and make it big
I never said I was going to make tons of websites? I just wanted to know where I can upload my files to distribute them about the web, I do have a lot of files to upload and share and I can get tons of downloads
you can upload files on hotfile which will give you around 10$/1000 downloads . A Rapidshare download site can be a nice revenue earner once setup and promoted finding the right script i think is the hardest part but i feel that although the market has alot of these types of sites there is room for a few more.Good luck with it
