he used some tech blogs to comment on most of them have have rankings from PR1-PR3 he commented on various post on the same blog to get somelink fuel and the site he commented on are very popular tech blogs

 

Must have done a LOT of commenting, because I use the same method, but sometimes get up to PR5-6 links, still no PR yet. I'm sure I'll have PR the next update though.

Well i am regularly dong stuff for it and adding more content on daily basis. My next target is pr 7 and i know it gets harder and harder to increase pr as the number increases. Like -
going from pr 1 to pr 2 is easier than going from pr 2 to pr 3.

According to Google, backlinks means that people liked your content and want to link with you and selling links, blog commenting and forum posting is black hat.
