Insanely small adsense payouts this month.

Starting 2 monthes ago, I created www.allgamesallfree.com and in my first month my payments were very good. For the month I made $48.26 in 72 clicks , now this month I made $37.87 so far, with 146 clicks. 1 day, I got 6 cents for 6 clicks... why are they giving me these pathetic payments?

Welcome to the world of Adsense publishing....LOL!
You may (or may not) be a victim of Smart Pricing.
Do a search on this site for lots of information regarding this.
Basically, if your visitors clicking are not "converting" for the advertisers, your clicks will be priced very low.
Though this is certainly debatable as well, as you'll soon find in this thread.

Your initial success on a new site will inevitably level off until you start working your tail off to bring it back up, which can take anywhere from months to years.
Good luck, and let us know how it progresses.

I think is because of the free keyword in your domain :)
However, my payouts for this month is not good either

You may want to look at your page title and keywords. Not sure exactly what determines the type of ads displayed but it's worth a try. I chnaged mine recently and witnessed a huge increase straight away. From $112 last month and currently at $175 with plenty of days to go.

    Hope this helps.

I dont know whats up with it, when I was seeing 5, 6 bucks a day it was enough for me , but 24 cents for 9 clicks today..thats just depressing.

It's hard to say why it happens. Lots of factors with ad inventory during the summer slowdown. My account is also about 50% this month than last month. The best thing is to build content get links and drive traffic, money should follow.

In response to the payments, I added another small banner on the left, now I have 2 things of google ads on my site. Maybe 1 or the other pays more I guess time will tell if it does better things now.

It seems the longer you're there, the lower the price goes. I made around $70 my first month with a brand new site, this month is around half that. But more traffic will fix that.

The word "free" in keywords brings lower paying ads, huh?
No wonder I get some real dogs in my ad units...

I cant imagine how that could be, because theres 7,720,000,000 for the word free on google. So if that were true all those sites would be getting low payments for thier ads.

$37.87 for 146 clicks is fantastic. For the same amount of clicks I would usually only get around $12-$14!

Well yes, that's one thing. Get rid of the keyword 'free'. Use keywords that are highly relevant to your content.

It could also be that after your first month, your visitors got used to the ads therefore you got less clicks. :D

I don't use keywords and tags. Because, I think adsense ads crawl only text and it doesn't care anything else.
    Anyone agree?

I don't. Alot of people seem to have the misconception that Google doesnt care about keywords, tags and such. Google bots treat different sites differently. What domain, keyword, country and many other factors are taken into account before finalising what ads are to be displayed. I remember a few months back when I uploaded a blank page to test the look of the ads and surprised to see the ads displayed was targeted at the only word that was in the keyword tag.
