It's really hard to tell if a blog is dofollow with no human interaction, otherwise I'd be filtering lists like crazy.

Actually you can find a lot of dofollow blogs & forums list by just searching in google,but manually finding is a difficult task.
Use some SERP scraper with the ability to check for tag "nofollow" in the scraped websites' content...if it's present it's well, nofollow blog, if not then it's "dofollow". I don't know if they are any free scrapers like that though...but I think you can develop iMacros script for that too.
Thanks for the advice, Ive registered with google with relevant keywords for newly listed blogs etc. I get a list every day of new blogs with my keywords in there which seems pretty good.
Have you tried with the following command on Google to findout DOFOLLOW blogs where you can post your comments? "Notify me when new comments are added"keyword
